Adrian Durham moots Tottenham return for 29-year-old

TalkSPORT host Adrian Durham has suggested that the club’s move to the beautiful new stadium could be a contributing factor in attracting one of the best players to wear the white shirt in recent memory.

The fact that Spurs have finally completed the move to a new ground could mean the club might have a financial burden to pay off, due to how much it might have cost Daniel Levy and company to put together the plan.

But the other side of the situation is that the club will now be able to make more profit and potentially attract some of the world’s best players as well – especially if Champions League football is secured for another year.

Tottenham of course been linked with a number of players in recent months and one of them has been Gareth Bale.

The 29-year-old’s future at Real Madrid is still an uncertainty and according Adrian Durham, this could be the time for Spurs to attract him back to the club.

“That stadium is going to be making them a fortune every matchday,” said Durham, as shown by talkSPORT’s official Twitter account on Friday evening.

“They can’t complain about making revenues anymore can they?

The Drivetime host added: “It’s all positive around Tottenham Hotspur

“So that stadium, is it a fortress? And is it the kind of fortress that’s fit for Gareth Bale?

“Could they attract Gareth Bale back to the club?”
