Tottenham are finally closing in on a deal to sign Giovani Lo Celso from Real Betis, with little time now left before the transfer window is closed.
Following the additions of Tanguy Ndombele and Jack Clarke from Lyon and Leeds respectively, Mauricio Pochettino’s transfer activity had been muted for a while.
However, that is expected to change before the transfer window deadline with BBC claiming that an agreement has been reached with Real Betis over the signing of Giovani Lo Celso.
Dele Alli’s unending fitness issues have made it reasonable to shop for another attacking midfielder, and the same BBC report suggests Spurs have ended their interest in a loan move for Barcelona’s Philippe Coutinho.
Tottenham have managed to secure an agreement with Betis over Lo Celso, who was one of La Liga’s stand-out performers last season.
BBC journalist David Ornstein has revealed more about the pending deal for the 23-year-old as the club also pursues the acquisition of Ryan Sessegnon from Fulham.
