Carragher reveals what Pochettino said to Gary Neville after recent match

Sky Sports pundit and former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has revealed what Mauricio Pochettino told Gary Neville about the club’s move to the new ground recently.

After the 2016/17 season, Tottenham Hotspur said goodbye to the old White Hart Lane as plans to move to a brand new stadium were put into action by the club’s hierarchy.

In the mean time, Spurs had to deal with having to play at a temporary ground while the new stadium was being built in north London.

Tottenham struggled with their home form during the early days after moving to Wembley stadium on a short-term basis, with many opponents taking advantage of the fact that Spurs were playing at a fairly unfamiliar ground last season.

The form at Wembley did get better over time but Jamie Carragher has revealed that Mauricio Pochettino was actually urging the club to leave and move into the new stadium as soon as possible to avoid any more stumbles.

“Pochettino mentioned to you [Neville] after the game that he’d be saying to Levy to get him in the stadium as quick as you can.” Carragher said during ‘Monday Night Football’ on Sky Sports

“A lot of people were thinking it would be a problem, but he was saying the opposite of that and he’s been proven right from the opening three games.”
