Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is said to be planning a crucial move in his mission to retain the services of Harry Kane at the club.
The England international is facing another summer of uncertainty in north London after an underwhelming campaign from Spurs which saw them fail to finish in the top four of the Premier League.
Bayern Munich appear to be Harry Kane’s biggest suitors at the moment, following a recent enquiry for the striker which was turned down by Tottenham.
According to highly respected journalist Fabrizio Romano, Daniel Levy is set to respond to Bayern’s transfer approach by holding an important meeting between him, Kane and Spurs new boss Ange Postecoglou over how they can convince the 29-year-old to remain a Tottenham player.
“There wasn’t even a negotiation, Tottenham immediately said no to Bayern’s offer.” Romano claimed in his ‘Here We Go’ update
“The intention of Daniel Levy remains the same and the idea now is to have a direct conversation with Harry Kane and Ange Postecoglou to discuss the project and how they can continue together”
Romano did also reveal that Kane is rather keen on a switch to the Bundesliga club and he is yet to inform his current employers about that.
“Kane is open to making a move to Bayern – he knows that Tuchel really wants him – but he has not told Tottenham that he wants to leave.” he added
