This weekend’s clash with Rochdale in the fifth round of the FA Cup might seem like just another game on the fixture list for some but it holds a lot of significance.
Tottenham Hotspur as a club over the past couple of seasons has elevated its standards dramatically and impressively under the stewardship of the brilliant Mauricio Pochettino.
However, regardless of what sort of progress is being made in the Premier League as top four finishes are secured, there has to be same tangible glory to go with it.
That is why winning the FA Cup has to be the biggest priority for the rest of the season because it would answer those numerous questions from pundits and supporters of rivals clubs about our trophy drought.
We may still be in the Champions League but you do not have to be a genius to realise that the FA Cup is actually our best opportunity of going home with silverware this season.
