Former Arsenal striker Theo Walcott has spoken in complete awe of Tottenham Hotspur’s new stadium and it is frankly not surprising to hear.
Spurs were made fun of for nearly a couple of seasons by rival fans as they played at Wembley stadium while the new ground was being worked on.
After postponing the opening of the stadium for several months, Tottenham finally moved into their new home last month, as they opened the new era with a win over Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
Folllowing the move, most people have spoken in awe of how great the stadium looks and how high the level of its facilities are.
Tottenham’s new ground is already regarded as one of the best in European football at this point in time.
And even for Theo Walcott, who spent much of his career hating Spurs, there is no denying how ‘fantastic’ the new ground is.
“I’m not gonna lie, it’s a fantastic stadium. A fantastic arena,” he said, as quoted by Football.London
“They’re obviously in the final of the Champions League and have done fantastically well.
“It’s a great place to play football, it really is, and they have worked really hard.
“It’s taken a long time and I know it has been a lot of stress for everyone behind closed doors, but it has paid off when you see it.”
