There has been more joy for Tottenham fans this week on the back of the final game of the season against Leicester City.
The club opened the week by announcing that promising full-back Kyle Walker-Peters had been rewarded with a new deal.
And only 24 hours after that news, Spurs made it official on Tuesday that Davinson Sanchez has also agreed to extend his contract with the club.
Based on his performances during the season that just ended, Sanchez will have a long future at Tottenham.
The 21-year-old, who joined the club from Dutch side Ajax during last summer, is likely to retain his place in the starting line-up next season.
Tottenham’s decision to hand the Colombia international a new contract has received thrilled reactions from many fans.

Not even 22 yet, only his third full season in Europe. Incredible things to come from Davinson in the next few years. COYS

It’s just a payrise, that was probably automatic based on appearances. He was already on a 6 year contract anyway.

Contract signing every day of the week would be nice. Keep going!

Incredible player. He wasnt given the credit he deserves by the so called experts last season. Otamendi in the prem team before Sanchez was outrageous. What a beast he is.

The news of Kyle Walker-Peters and Davinson Sanchez extending their contracts is clearly great but is it greedy to ask for more? Toby perhaps?
