Sky Sports pundit and former Tottenham Hotspur player Jamie Redknapp has expressed his appreciation of the quality that one attacker has shown in the absence of players like Harry Kane.
Mauricio Pochettino was given more injury worries last month during Spurs’ first leg clash with Manchester City in the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League.
Tottenham were expected to lose their place in the top four of the Premier League after the injury to Harry Kane but stepping up to the spotlight has been Heung-min Son.
Even though the South Korean star was sent off in Saturday’s clash with Bournemouth, his rare blunder came on the back of some brilliant displays over the past month.
Son has been arguably the best player from the Tottenham squad this season, with the highlight being his three vital goals in the Champions League tie against Man City.
According to Jamie Redknapp, the attacker is only getting better.
“He’s a huge player for this Tottenham side,” said Redknapp, as per This is Futbol
“He’s got pace, he seems to get better and better every time I see him, and he just gives defenders a real problem, he wants to run on beyond, he’s good off either foot so you never know whether to show him inside.”
