Pundit John Motson has stated that he expects Tottenham Hotspur to have secured a considerable amount of new signings by the time next season kicks off.
Club chairman Daniel Levy is probably under more pressure than ever this summer after his failure to lure any new players to the club over the past two transfer windows.
Mauricio Pochettino has refused to hide the fact that his desire is to see the club spend much of the revenue they have been making in recent years from consistently qualifying for the UEFA Champions League by finishing in the top four of the Premier League.
Fans of the club will be eager to see Levy allow some funds to be spent as the club looks to move up to new level next term.
And that is why John Motson is claiming that Tottenham are likely to have two or three new players at the club by next campaign’s kick off.
“Well they’ve certainly got to improve and increase the squad because the bench at the times towards the end of the season didn’t look as strong as the other competitors at their level,” said Motson on talkSPORT (14:55, Monday May 20th).
“Yeah I think what is it two transfer windows without a signing and Lucas Moura was the last player they bought?
“I think they have to, I mean they will, I’d be very surprised if we weren’t sitting here in August with Tottenham having at least two if not three new players.”
