Jan Vertonghen sends seven-word message to Spurs fans ahead of UCL final vs Liverpool

Tottenham Hotspur defender Jan Vertonghen has signaled to the club’s fans that he is working on making the squad which travels to Madrid to face Liverpool in the final of the UEFA Champions League at the start of next month.

The Belgium star has been left worrying over his fitness ahead of the showdown in June, with Mauricio Pochettino still not completely certain as to whether he will be able to start him in the final or not.

Tottenham have a few issues with injuries which will be addressed by the manager before naming his squad for the big trip to Madrid.

Jan Vertonghen, who scored in the vital first leg win over Borussia Dortmund in the round of 16 of the competition at Wembley stadium, has been keeping his fingers crossed over whether he will be deemed fit to face Jurgen Klopp’ side.

Almost a week ahead of the game, the defender has tried to let the fans know that he too is working on being ready for the big one in Spain.
