Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas has questioned the reasoning behind a potential move to Tottenham Hotspur for Wilfred Zaha.
Some time ago, the gifted 26-year-old was actually deemed as one of the hottest prospects in English football, forcing Manchester United to move to secure his signature before they ended up selling him after his underwhelming spell at Old Trafford.
Zaha has occasionally shown his quality as a winger in the Premier League for Crystal Palace, who have done well to avoid relegation from the top flight for another season.
Even though the winger still has a lot to prove at the highest level, some big clubs have continued to be linked with Zaha over the last couple of years.
Tottenham Hotspur have been placed in the conversation of which teams could sign the Palace star by Bleacher Report.
But Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas has expressed his stance over not being fully convinced that a transfer move to north London for Zaha could actually materialize.
“Zaha, I’m not so sure about. He fits into the Spurs way,” he told Sky Sports, when asked about the Tottenham links.
“I don’t think he does [want to go]. I think he enjoys being where he is now. It depends how ambitious the owners of Crystal Palace want to be.”
