Pochettino finally reacts to Levy’s decision over new signings before deadline

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has reacted to Daniel Levy’s ultimate decision to not complete any new signings before the transfer window was closed.

Several rumours linked Spurs with some sort of transfer deal all summer but nothing really happened in the end as the window came to a close on Thursday evening.

Considering the fact that rival clubs Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, and even Everton were all able to sign players, the club’s lack of activity has left a good amount of fans frustrated.

But speaking to the media, Pochettino’s reaction to the lack of new signings from Levy was an upbeat one.

“I think the club is doing an amazing effort to try to finish the stadium as soon as possible and get the lodge finished at the training ground. It’s a massive effort from the club.” said the Spurs boss

“Of course it’s difficult to understand for people in football that Tottenham didn’t sign or sell players.

“But sometimes in football you need to behave differently.

“If we are happy with our squad and cannot improve our squad, sometimes it’s better to keep our squad together.”
