Tottenham are reportedly on the lookout for a central midfield replacement for Mousa Dembele and therefore, targets in France’s Ligue 1 are being put into consideration.
Sky Sports are reporting that Spurs have entered the race to sign promising young talent Yves Bissouma in the summer transfer window.
The 21-year-old has been linked with a north London switch for the past year and with the future of Dembele in doubt, this could be the idle time for a move from Spurs.
Dembele has still not made a decision over renewing his contract at Tottenham, prompting more rumours that he has played his final season for the club.
Bissouma, who is also being pursued by Premier League rivals Everton, is far from the finished product.
The idea of finding a replacement for Dembele, who is now growing old, is a necessary one, but perhaps a more experienced player is what is needed.
