Spurs closer to signing 30-year-old and £26m would be enough for move

Tottenham Hotspur are claimed to be closer to the signing of Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan, based on reports from Italy.

Recent injuries to key attackers Harry Kane and Dele Alli might have exposed the team’s need for more depth in the goal-scoring area.

Perisic is a player whom several other Premier League clubs like Manchester United and Arsenal have been linked with over the past year.

Italian outlet Calciomercato have reported that Tottenham are closer to the signing of the 29-year-old, who has been made available for sale after his recent attempt to leave the San Siro.

Inter Milan have demanded higher fees in the past for the Croatia international but the report is indicating that £26million would be enough for a deal to be done.

The Italian side have opened the door for suitors of Perisic, who submitted a transfer request in January after flirting with a move to Arsenal.
