European champions Real Madrid are reported to have made Tottenham shot-stopper Hugo Lloris their new target to replace Keylor Navas, despite initial rumours linking them with a deal to sign Thibaut Courtois.
The Chelsea goalkeeperwas previously claimed to have been close to returning to La Liga, where he spent three years on loan with Madrid’s fierce rivals Atletico Madrid.
However, The Mirror reports that the Champions League winners have now switched their attention to Lloris and are prepared to offer £60m for the man who just won the World Cup with France.
With Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy penny-pinching this summer, the club could be tempted to agree a move of that sort for Lloris which would come close to the expensive goalkeeper deal recently completed by Liverpool for Alisson Becker.
Lloris is understood to be open to the move, although Mauricio Pochettino should be unwilling to sell his skipper.
The 31-year-old shot-stopper has been with Spurs since 2012, making more than 250 appearances for the club.
