Spurs expected to announce deal worth £100,000-a-week for midfielder in coming days

Tottenham are expected to announce that a lucrative new deal for key midfielder Dele Alli has been agreed within the next few days, based on a report by Business Insider.

The 22-year-old was named in the England team which traveled to Russia for the 2018 World Cup this summer.

Alli was frequently included in Gareth Southgate’s starting eleven for the Three Lions, who were knocked out by Croatia in the semi-final of the competition.

The attacking midfielder’s exploits in the Tottenham shirt in recent years has seen the club move to reward him with a new lucrative contract – which is expected to be announced within the next few days.

Alli will now be earning £100,000-a-week in wages, which will be almost double what he is currently racking up.

Even so, not all fans agree that the young Englishman deserves to be earning a salary close to that of star man Harry Kane, after some inconsistent displays during last season.
