Tottenham have made €18m offer to sign experienced Besiktas star

Tottenham Hotspur have made a move to sign Domagoj Vida – who was one of the stars of Croatia’s wonderful World Cup run – based on a report by Team Talk.

With the future of Toby Alderweireld yet to be resolved, Mauricio Pochettino is bound to be concerned over whom he will actually have available at centre-back for next season.

Vida, who has been one of the shining stars of Croatia’s unexpected run to the World Cup final, is now a man being targeted by several clubs around Europe.

Based on new claims, Spurs have made an offer of €18m to secure the signature of the 29-year-old star.

Premier League rivals Liverpool and Everton are also reported to be in the race to sign Vida, but Pochettino might be able to convince the defender to move to North London instead.

Besiktas are indeed asking for a higher offer for the Croatia international, who featured for his country against France last Sunday.
