Tottenham Hotspur are ‘leading the race’ to snap up Jack Grealish this summer, based on a report by the Daily Mail.
Many reports over the past week have indicated that the 22-year-old is on the radar of Spurs, who are preparing for another season in the Champions League, resulting in the need for a deeper squad.
Grealish has emerged as a target for several clubs in England, including Premier League foes West Ham, Everton and Leicester City.
But the Daily Mail’s report has echoed that of many sources that Spurs are ‘leading the race’ to complete a deal to sign the 22-year-old talent.
In the season which just ended, Grealish scored three goals and provided eight assists from 34 appearances in all competitions.
What has proven to be an obstacle in negotiations with Aston Villa is their high asking price of £40million but the player himself is claimed to be keen on a career-enhancing move to London.
