Tottenham are set to make a formal offer for the signing of Cengiz Under from AS Roma within the ‘next few days’, based on reports from Turkey.
The club’s scouts have been known to be tracking the 21-year-old for the past six months at least and an approach to sign him is on the way.
Under, who likes to play as a right-winger, is one of the most promising players on the books of AS Roma at the moment.
Turkish reports are suggesting that Tottenham will be submitting an offer to sign the young attacker within the next few days.
Roma are asking for a £31m fee, which Daniel Levy is likely to negotiate and potentially lower to a much cheaper price.
During his reign as Tottenham boss, Mauricio Pochettino has taken pride in putting faith in young and sometimes unfancied players who eventually grow into key players in the squad.
