Tottenham are confident of completing the signing of Jack Grealish from Aston Villa, based on a report by the Mirror.
Spurs have been the clear favourites to swoop for Grealish all summer, but talks with Villa slowed down as club chairman Daniel Levy attempted to decrease the asking price.
The Championship side are expected to sell the midfielder due to their current financial issues, and Levy was hoping that delaying the transfer would force Villa to lower their price.
Daniel Levy had been holding off bidding as he was attempting to take advantage of Villa’s financial woes under Dr Tony Xia, which left the Championship club on the brink of administration.
The £20million amount which Spurs are offering is much lower than Villa’s asking price for the player but it will be difficult for them to turn down an opportunity to make a profit in midst of their financial plight.
