Tony Cascarino has revealed what he has heard about Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane’s injury recovery ahead of the clash with Ajax in the semifinals of the Champions League next week.
The England international has been the top scorer of the team yet again this season but his problem with injuries have not improved by any means.
Kane had only returned from a frustrating spell on the sidelines and was looking to find his form again when his bad luck struck again earlier this month.
The striker succumbed to an ankle injury in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinal against Manchester City.
Even though Spurs have done enough to challenge in the league and Europe in the absence of Kane, the Englishman has certainly been missed.
But according to Tony Cascarino, the striker is actually set to return for the second leg of the Ajax tie in what would be a huge boost for Tottenham.
Speaking on talkSPORT (April 27th, 7.45am), he said: “I’m told that Harry will be back for the second leg of the Champions League game, Ajax away.
“I’m told they have a real chance of him making it. They will need Harry against Ajax.”
