Tottenham could agree £100m deal for 26-year-old as Brazilian approves move

Based on another report by Don Balon, Tottenham could agree a deal with Barcelona for Christian Eriksen this summer if a suitable offer is received.

The Denmark international moved to Spurs from Ajax in 2013 and over the past five years, he has made 226 appearances in all competitions, racking up 125 goals in total goals and assists.

A possible move for Eriksen has reportedly been approved by Barcelona’s Brazilian star Phillipe Coutinho since it would not put his place in the team in jeopardy.

Don Balon’s report is also saying that Tottenham will be interested in selling the midfielder if the £100m asking price is met.

Eriksen was in spectacular form last season as he contributed to 27 goals in 47 games as Spurs made it out of the group stage in the Champions League before securing a third-place finish in the Premier League.

Selling the Danish playmaker would be a significant blow to Mauricio Pochettino’s side ahead of what will be an important season in the club’s history.

Then again, every player has his price, and through the sales of Luka Modric and Gareth Bale in the past, we have seen how the club changes its stance when money starts talking.
