Based on a report by France Football, Tottenham have entered talks with RB Salzburg over the potential signing of midfield talent Amadou Haidara this summer.
The 20-year-old is the latest prospect to emerge from the Austrian outfit, to whom he moved from his native Mali in 2016. He is a well-rounded central midfielder who can also function out wide.
Spurs have reportedly held talks with Salzburg over a deal for the highly-rated midfielder, who is also being chased by Premier League rivals Chelsea.
Victor Wanyama’s fitness record from last season was concerning and perhaps that is why Mauricio Pochettino might be interested in adding another midfielder to the squad.
Haidara largely impressed last season, scoring six goals in 50 appearances in all competitions for the club.
The Malian also won the UEFA Youth League with Red Bull Salzburg, before making a major impact at the senior level.
Pochettino could do with boosting his reserves in central midfield. Mousa Dembele, 30, also endured injury woes last season.
