Tottenham Hotspur are expected to reach an agreement with key attacker Son Heung-min over a deal which will see him increase his wages at the club.’
The 26-year-old was a leader by example for South Korea over the summer as he starred for his national team in the 2018 FIFA World Cup even though they were eliminated from the competition in the group stage.
Son signed a new five-year deal following the tournament in July but his exceptional performances have seen him attract more rewarding offers from the club.
Based on the Daily Mail‘s report, the forward is set to sign a new contract which will be worth around £150,000-a-week.
Son has scored 16 goals in all competitions since October and that includes his brilliant strike in the win over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
The club’s decision to reward Son with a new pay rise makes sense considering the fact that he is likely to be pursued by rival clubs around Europe in the summer.
