Former Premier League footballer Alan Shearer took to Twitter to share his reaction to what happened on Wednesday night as Tottenham Hotspur reached new heights in the history of the club.
Mauricio Pochettino knew that his side would also have to come up with something very special to reach the final of the Champions League after going 1-0 behind to their semifinal opponents Ajax before Liverpool made a stunning comeback against Barcelona on Tuesday.
Spurs travelled to Amsterdam on Wednesday with the target of having to score at least two goals on the roads after failing to stop Ajax from finding the net in the first leg of the tie.
Even though the team fell behind by two more goals before half time in the second leg of the tie, Spurs staged one of the most stunning comebacks in the club’s history to break the hearts of the home side and secure a place in the final of the competition against all of the odds.
