Tottenham make £36m move for signing of 25-year-old in late Levy approach

Tottenham have made an offer for the signing of Marcelo Brozovic from Inter Milan, based on a report by Croatian newspaper Sportske Novosti.

Mauricio Pochettino has not been able to make any new additions yet in this transfer window, due to the club’s reluctance to spend with the new stadium’s cost still on the table.

Midfield is perhaps the main area where the Tottenham boss might need some spending and Brozovic has been identified as a transfer target as a result.

The Croatian outlet is claiming that Spurs have made an offer of £36million to sign the midfielder right before the closing of the summer transfer window.

However, it is also reported that Inter Milan are asking for Brozovic’s €50 million (£45 million) release clause to be met for them to part with him.

The offer to sign the Croatia international represents a desperate late attempt from Daniel Levy, who is yet to complete a new signing with just a day left in the transfer window.
