Tottenham monitoring deal to sign 23-year-old, over £30m fee quoted

According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham scouts are monitoring the situation of Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish over a summer move. Mauricio Pochettino’s side might without midfield maestro Christian Eriksen next season with Real Madrid keen on the Dane.

Grealish is touted to be the former Ajax man’s replacement at White Hart Lane and a bid of £25 million failed last summer.

Christian Benteke remains the costliest departure from Villa Park at £32.5m in 2015 and they would consider that Grealish is more valuable than that.

Grealish has 4 goals and 4 assists to his name in 24 games in the Championship this season and is an integral part of Villa’s squad.

The 23-year old extended his contract with the Villians last September until the summer of 2023 and earns a reported £2 million per year at the club.

Spurs will have to better both his wages and the transfer fee from last summer if they were to land the young midfielder in the summer
