‘Why not Tottenham?’… Moussa Sissoko hopes ‘exceptional’ £45m attacker signs for Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Sissoko has admitted that he would like to see Lille’s star winger at the club in the near future.

Spurs have been magnificent in the latter stages of the Champions League this year and have managed to reach the final of Europe’s elite club competition.

Nonetheless, most fans may also fear that the accomplishment in Europe could blind the club away from looking for more talent in the transfer market this summer.

Mauricio Pochettino has refused to keep his desire for more investment as a secret, after Daniel Levy infamously failed to sign any new players last summer.

Lille winger Nicolas Pepe, a player who is valued at £45m, has previously been linked with almost all of the big six clubs in the Premier League.

And for Sissoko, the 23-year-old is a player who could fit in very well in north London as a member of the Spurs squad.

“I think he has the qualities for England.” said Sissoko, as quoted by Le10 Sport.

“He has already demonstrated his full potential with Angers, this year he confirmed it with Lille, what he does is really exceptional. I do not know where he’ll go, but I wish him the best in his future club, and if it’s in England, why not Tottenham?” he added.
