Tottenham star Dele Alli produced a ‘world-class’ goalscoring effort during the 4-0 win in the Europa League on Wednesday, based on the words of Wolfsberger AC boss Ferdinand Feldhofer (as per EuroCalciomercato)
Alli has rarely been given the opportunity to impress this season with Jose Mourinho restricting the attacking midfielder to only a handful of starts so far this campaign.
Having virtually secured a spot in the next stage of the competition with a 4-0 win in the first leg of the tie against Wolfsberger, Spurs were in comfortable mood on Wednesday night and that saw them put more goals past their opponents on home turf.
Only ten minutes after kick off, Dele Alli produced a moment to remember as his acrobatic effort landed in the back of the net to hand the home side the lead in commanding fashion.
For Wolfsberger coach Ferdinand Feldhofer, the Tottenham star’s strike was nothing short of world-class on a night where he reminded many of what he is capable of.
“Congratulations to Tottenham on this well-deserved victory. They were very confident and strong; big compliments to the quality of Tottenham,” Feldhofer said.
“Of course, it is a bit disappointing because in reality you get the feeling, like today, that you are not that far away (from matching them). But then you see the individual quality of Tottenham players who, when they have a few inches of space, do great things in front of the goal.
“On the first one, we didn’t defend enough – a world-class goal.”
