27-year-old could be included in Tottenham squad this weekend

Things change very quickly within a matter of days in football and this time we are on the good side of lady luck.

After that sickening 1-0 defeat away to West Brom, many Tottenham fans were feeling the heat again as Chelsea upped their push for a top four place.

But Wednesday night’s results which saw Antonio Conte’s side draw at home to Huddersfield while a Harry Kane goal propelled us to a 1-0 win over Newcastle, that spot in the top four is now sealed and secured.

Perhaps the only concern heading into this weekend’s final fixture of the campaign was over the fitness of key defender Kieran Trippier.

The 27-year-old England international was forced off by an injury on Wednesday with Mauricio Pochettino expressing real concern over his condition after the match.

But fortunately for the Spurs boss and England fans, Trippier is expected to make a swift return to action this weekend.

With that important top four spot now in the bag, Pochettino may choose to rest some players against Leicester and Trippier probably deserves a breather.
