After the opening of the beautiful new stadium last term, most of the club’s supporters have been given enough reason to feel optimistic about the future at Tottenham.
It appears as though the optimism is spreading around the dressing room as well, as several players express their excitement about the new campaign.
Lucas Moura was one of the heroes of Spurs’ remarkable run in the Champions League last term as he scored a hat-trick in the famous comeback against Ajax.
The 26-year-old was one of the players who really stood up to be counted when the team needed him the most, after Harry Kane’s agonizing injury towards the end of the season.
And with the start of the new season just around the corner, Moura has revealed that the club’s new stadium is the best he has ever played in, as he looks forward to his north London return.
“I miss playing in our stadium,” said Lucas, as per the club’s official website
“For me, it’s the best stadium I’ve played in. I’m so excited to play there again, to play well, to score goals, to make the fans happy. That’s my objective this season. I’m sure we can do it.”
