Gary Neville has compared reported Tottenham Hotspur target to Eden Hazard

Gary Neville has given his opinion on Tottenham Hotspur’s links with Leicester City star James Maddison and compared him to one of the best attacking midfielders in the Premier League at the moment.

Maddison is a player who is currently enjoying a superb campaign for Leicester City after his transfer switch from Norwich City in the summer of 2018, and as a result, clubs like Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a possible move to sign him this summer.

After the departure of Dembele during the January transfer window, Mauricio Pochettino has been given at least one more reason to go out and search a for a new midfielder after the season is over.

James Maddison is a player who would definitely fit into the Tottenham manager’s system, with the only obstacle in a possible move for him being the fact that he is English and therefore Leicester City being likely to demand a premium fee to sell him.

Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville has been impressed with the 22-year-old and he has made a comparison between the youngster and Chelsea star Eden Hazard, pointing out how the two players are similar in the way they play.

“I mentioned Eden Hazard the other night. They play football like it should be played as a kid where it’s just really enjoyable. He is having an amazing first season.” Neville told Sky Sports
