‘Got a sneaky suspicion’: Pundit claims Liverpool could land signing of important Spurs star

Liverpool have been a thorn in the flesh of Tottenham Hotspur over the past ten months of football and according to former Spurs star Jamie O’Hara, that could continue this summer.

Jurgen Klopp’s side did the double over Tottenham in the Premier League as they won 2-1 on both occasions that the two sides met in domestic competition.

Liverpool finished it off by beating Spurs in relatively undeserved fashion in Madrid as a harsh penalty-kick decision from the referee set the Reds on their way to a 2-0 win in the Champions League final.

Now that the Anfield side are back to winning trophies, there is some few over Liverpool possibly attracting one of their rivals’ important players.

For former Tottenham man Jamie O’Hara, who now works as a pundit, Christian Eriksen is actually someone whom Liverpool could steal from Spurs this summer.

The 27-year-old’s future at the club is currently up in the air, and O’Hara claims Jurgen Klopp could take advantage of that.

“(Liverpool) need a central midfielder player. I’ve got a sneaky suspicion that they might try and take Eriksen from Tottenham as he’s in the last year on his deal,” O’Hara said, as quoted by HITC

“He’s the type of player they need.”

Eriksen still has a year left on his contract at the club and Spurs have shown no signs so far of being interested in doing business with a rival.
