Keeping up with a week full of new deals for players, Tottenham announced on Thursday that another man had been added to that growing list.
Harry Winks, who enjoyed more minutes in the first team last season, signed a new contract which commits him to the club until 2023.
Daniel Levy and Mauricio Pochettino appear to be agreeing on what the priorities should be and that is tying up players with bright futures to new contracts before things get out of hand.
Winks was often used to fill gaps in the starting line-up during last term and his contract renewal is certainly a sign that there could be more from him on the way next year.
Indeed, had it not been for injuries, the midfielder might just have sealed a regular place in the team for good.
And largely due to his promising shows, fans were happy to hear that Winks had been handed a new deal.
Easy to forget just how good Winks was before his injury. He is Dembele's true heir

Absolutely fantastic news, you could see how much we missed him towards the end of the season.
Also another great indication Pochettino is getting the issues he wants addressed and is being backed, as Winksy is a key player to this club in terms of our midfield moving forward.

Just send us a pic of the queue outside Poch’s office so we don’t have to wait.

Yes winksy!! If you can get one injury free season I’m sure you’ll kick on and nail down a starting place for us and England! Decent preseason needed so you’re sharp for August 11th! Let’s go! #COYS
