Several Tottenham fans have been impressed by one of the club’s on-loan young players, Marcus Edwards, and his return to the club is being called for.
When the 20-year-old was sent out on loan to the Eredivisie with Excelsior during last summer, it was deemed by many as the young boy’s final chance to impress.
Following allegations of attitude and immaturity issues and a frustrating loan stint at Norwich City last term, it appeared as though Edwards’s chances of breaking into the Tottenham Hotspur first team were dead.
However, six months into the campaign, and Edwards looks to have redeemed himself in the Netherlands. That was clear this weekend as the youngster scored a goal and assisted a second in Excelsior’s 2-1 win over FC Emmen.
And with that, fans are now calling for him to be back with the Spurs squad.
Marcus Edwards is so much better than Lamela.

Marcus Edwards with a goal and an assist in 5 minutes. Definitely worth keeping in the squad for next season.

Saw Marcus Edwards had a goal and an assist today. I hope he comes back this summer and proves he’s good enough to come on the summer tour #COYS
