Injured Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane was delighted to watch his teammates take a giant step towards qualification for the next round of the UEFA Champions League this season after thrashing Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night at Wembley stadium.
After seeing Premier League rivals Manchester United get played off the park in the second half of their game against Paris Saint-Germain a day earlier, Spurs were aware that there was some pressure on them from the English football fans to make things look better for the Premier League on Wednesday.
The away side threatened Tottenham in the first half but the second half was a typically brilliant show from Mauricio Pochettino’s men who blew the Bundesliga side away by scoring three fine goals.
All of this happened without the presence of Harry Kane, who will now be eager more than ever to get back on the pitch with his in-form teammates.
Unreal second half from the whole team! @JanVertonghen on ??? #COYS #UCL https://t.co/RpsTTwUTEc
