Kane insists his future will depend on Tottenham’s ambition

Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane has once again spoken about his future at the club with only a few months left before another summer transfer window opens.

The 25-year-old has become the most important player at the club after breaking into the first team almost five years ago.

Kane’s success on the pitch as a lethal striker has seen him attract the interest of some of European football’s biggest clubs.

Even though the England international decided to renew his contract with Spurs last summer – as he became one of the highest paid players in the squad – there have been doubts over whether he will choose to stay at the club beyond this season.

With Tottenham set to open a new stadium, the future appears to be very bright for Mauricio Pochettino’s side, who are currently sitting in third place in the Premier League.

Speaking on his future at the club, Harry Kane insisted that he is willing to remain in north London if the club continues to show its ambition.

“I’ve always said as long as the club is moving in the right direction and showing the right ambition, I want to be part of the journey,” he saidas quoted by ESPN.

“It’s something you assess along the way,”

“A lot of people look at it and say this is maybe the best team we’ve had, maybe the best team we’ll ever have, and the best manager, but it’s important that we have something to show for it.

“It’s not just, when we look back in 10 years, we had a great team. It’s, ‘Look what they did. Look what they won.’ The challenge for us is, can we keep going up and up and up? It’s going to be difficult in the next couple of years with the stadium and the finances.”
