Kyle Walker is now full of praise for this Tottenham player

Ex-Spurs defender Kyle Walker has raved about the quality of his former teammate Heung-min Son after what happened in the Champions League at the Etihad stadium last Wednesday.

Walker himself was a key member of the Tottenham Hotspur squad before he decided to leave for Manchester City in an expensive transfer agreement almost two years ago.

After leaving Spurs, Walker has faced his former club on a few occasions but none of them was more dramatic than the match-up which occurred in the Champions League last week.

The clash with Man City in the second leg of the quarterfinal saw Raheem Sterling score a very early goal which could have dented the team’s belief.

But what followed that goal was a brilliant pair of strikes from Heung-min Son as Spurs somehow managed to secure a place in the next stage of the competition.

Thus, it is no surprise that even Kyle Walker is praising the 26-year-old now.

Speaking to Manchester’s City’s official website, the defender said: “Son has been on fire and he deserves everything he gets. He is a very close friend of mine and the boy is so nice.

“He wouldn’t say boo to a goose, he is that nice. He deserves everything he gets. His hard work is paying off for him.”
