Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish is reportedly ‘expected’ to sign for Tottenham Hotspur as the two clubs continue to work on agreeing a deal.
The Championship side are in a financial crisis at the moment, which has forced them to sell their star men for profit, handing Spurs a golden opportunity to snap up a player whom they have been tracking for over a year now.
Birmingham Live are reporting that Tottenham are the only club who have shown a strong interest in signing Grealish and a deal is expected to go through at some point during this summer transfer window.
Aston Villa value the young midfielder at £30m, but Tottenham are reported to be only intending to pay half of that price.
The 22-year-old playmaker has flown to Portugal and is currently taking part in a pre-season training camp with Steve Bruce’s side.
However he is said to be fully aware of Mauricio Pochettino’s interest and has made no efforts to rule out a potential summer switch.
