Harry Kane has spoken on his new deal with the club, revealing that he is “really excited” and “proud” to have extended his future with Mauricio Pochettino’s team.
The 24-year-old has made a name for himself as one of the top goal-scorers in world football, having scored a staggering 135 goals in all competitions since the start of the 2014-15 campaign.
Many big clubs have been frequently linked with a move for Kane, but the England international has committed his future to Spurs by signing a big-money new contract which is worth £200,000-a-week.
“I’m really excited, it’s a proud day. Obviously it’s been a great few seasons and I’m looking forward to the future.” said Kane on Friday
“I’m looking forward to the new stadium first and foremost and just to keep progressing as a club. It’s been fantastic to consistently get in the Champions League so I’m really excited to have another go at that and with the Premier League and FA Cup, we’ll look to go as far as we can.
“For us as a club, it’s just about keeping improving and we’ll work hard to do that.”
Kane first linked up with the Spurs youth setup in 2004 and has gone to make 213 senior appearances for the club.
