After a long season in north London, the fact that the summer is coming again means that there might be a few significant moves made at the club.
Last summer, the club’s hierachy was not entirely willing to invest much funds into the transfer market and that saw Spurs become the only team in the top flight of English football to fail to sign any new players.
It does appear as though Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is fairly apprehensive about the idea of not being allowed to sign players once again this summer.
Thus, the Spurs boss has made some strange remarks in recent weeks and it remains to be seen whether he is willing to even stay at the club or not.
As a result, Sky Sports pundit Phil Thompson has claimed that Mauricio Pochettino is looking to leave Tottenham Hotspur after reading into the Argentine’s recent comments in the media.
“We listen to his press conferences, it’s tipping more and more the other way as though he’s looking to move on,” Thompson told Soccer Special.
“Unless he gets assurances. You see what this guy has done. This manager, if they were to lose this guy I think to replace him, and what he has done is quite extraordinary, to do what he’s done by not spending any money.
“I am saying now to Levy, find that money! Find the money to keep this guy because the good managers don’t come along too often. He’s not just a good manager, he’s a great manager. But I think they will lose him if they don’t help this guy out.”
