Spurs in late move for 25-year-old as window’s closing approaches

Tottenham Hotspur have made late a move in the transfer window with an enquiry for striker Michy Batshuayi, based on a report by Mundo Deportivo.

Mauricio Pochettino has seen his side struggle a bit to find the back of the net in recent games, largely due to the absence of star striker Harry Kane.

Deputy goalscorer Fernando Llorente was in action on Wednesday as he scored in the 2-1 win over Watford, but the Spaniard has shown that he is hardly a man Tottenham can rely on with Kane unavailable.

Therefore, the club has made an enquiry about Michy Batshuayi with Real Betis and West Ham also chasing the striker.

The Belgium international is still a Chelsea player but he is on loan at the moment at Valencia, after enjoying a spell at Borussia Dortmund last season.

Due to his Premier League experience, Batshuayi would be a good option for Pochettino as he looks to keep his side in the top four of the league.
