Spurs prepared for ‘big-money offer’ towards transfer of £80,000-a-week star

Tottenham are prepared to receive a ‘big-money offer’ from Inter Milan for the signature of Mousa Dembele, based on a report by Football.London.

The Belgian has been a target of the Italians for the past month, but they have not been in the best financial position to make a move, according to reports.

Inter Milan were initially concerned with the consequences of breaking Financial Fair Play rules but after sorting matters out, the Italian giants are now in a good position to pursue the midfielder.

Dembele played only 21 of Tottenham’s 38 Premier League games last season and he is entering the final year of his current deal.

With Mauricio Pochettino keeping his plans around younger players, the Belgian international could be allowed to leave this summer as the club gains funds for a replacement.

Inter Milan are expected to make an acceptable offer for the player whom Tottenham signed from Fulham in the summer of 2012.
