Spurs raise interest in signing 22-year-old who could replace Eriksen

According to the Mirror, Tottenham are keen to bring Leicester City’s midfield maestro James Maddison to White Hart Lane in the summer.

The 22-year-old has become a fan favourite at the King Power stadium since his big-money move from Norwich City in the summer.

Tottenham are still unsure about Christian Eriksen’s future, with the Dane heavily linked with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid in the summer.

Maddison, also a number 10, would be a like-for-like replacement for Eriksen at the end of the season.

Having missed just 2 games this season, the 22-year old has scored 5 goals and has assisted a further 5 in an impressive debut campaign for the Foxes.

Tottenham are said to have been keeping tabs on the midfielder since his teenage days at Coventry City and are now convinced about his ability.

Leicester, on the other hand, would do everything in their power to keep the Englishman and a move after just 12 months seems unlikely.
