Chelsea star Eden Hazard has made an honest revelation of the jealousy which fans of the Blues have been feeling over the past few weeks in regards to Tottenham Hotspur’s progress.
Mauricio Pochettino arrived at the club at a time when Spurs were not a regular name thrown into the hat for the UEFA Champions League group stages season after season.
But the superb Argentine has taken Tottenham to a brand new level during his reign, with the club now clear competitors in Europe’s elite club competition.
Meanwhile, rivals like Arsenal and Chelsea were languishing in the second tier of European football as they faced off in the final of the Europa League last week.
That clash came days before Spurs featured in the Champions League final, a sign that Pochettino’s side is indeed a member of the so-called ‘big-boys’ in Europe.
And even though he might be leaving Chelsea soon, Hazard has admitted that he and the Chelsea faithful have not been happy at all to see Spurs compete at the highest level.
“When you play for Chelsea you want to be the best in London. When Tottenham are in the Champions League final, that’s terrible.” he said, as per HITC
