Tim Sherwood suggests Tottenham need a better player than 32-year-old

Former Tottenham Hotspur boss Tim Sherwood has stated that the team could do with a replacement for current first-choice shot-stopper Hugo Lloris.

Tottenham were linked with younger goalkeepers who could have replaced the World Cup winner but nothing happened in the transfer market for Mauricio Pochettino.

Even Hugo Lloris has had his fine moments, the goalkeepers has proven on some ocassions that he is an accident waiting to occur.

Lloris was clearly at fault in the loss to Liverpool just over a week ago as he failed to hold on to the ball after a header from Mohamed Salah.

That error resulted in an own goal from Toby Alderweireld as Spurs suffered a heartbreaking defeat away at Anfield.

That was not the first high profile error from the Frenchman this season and it might not be the last.

Therefore, Tim Sherwood has insisted that Tottenham should look out for replacement.

“For me, he is a good goalkeeper. Try and find better and then make that decision.” Sherwood said on BT Sport as shown below.
