Tottenham agree deal with 24-year-old star as Levy gets serious

Tottenham have confirmed that a deal has been agreed with star striker Harry Kane to extend his future at the club.

Kane’s initial contract was due to expire in the summer of 2022 with some specualtion even suggesting that he might have played his last game for Spurs.

But to end the silly gossip, the 24-year-old has signed a new deal – worth £200,000-a-week – until the end of the 2023-24 campaign.

“We are delighted to announce that Harry Kane has signed a new six-year contract with the club, which will run until 2024,” read a statement on Tottenham’s official website.

Barcelona and Real Madrid have both been linked with the England international, amid suggestions that he could be ready to move on due to Spurs’ strict wage structure.

However, it is understood that Kane has now doubled his wages at the club.

The prolific striker racked up 41 goals in 48 games for Tottenham during the season which just ended.

Overall, Kane has managed to score 140 goals in 213 appearances for Spurs since his debut in 2009.
