Tottenham Hotspur are reported to have begun talks with Chinese Super League side Beijing Sinobo Guoan over selling Mousa Dembele this month.
Over the summer transfer window, there were certain players in the Tottenham squad who were expected to bring their careers in North London to an end.
Mousa Dembele was on the list of players rumoured to be close to heading out but the fact that the club could not manage to make any new signings meant clear-out deals had to be placed on hold as well.
The Belgium international’s exit may well happen this month after reports claiming that the club and Beijing Sinobo Guoan have kicked off talks over a deal to sell him.
Dembele’s current contract at Tottenham is due to expire at the end of the season and the club has shown no signs of being interested in extending his deal for another year or two.
