Based on a report by the Mirror, Tottenham youngster Maxwell Statham’s future at the club could be over with Championship side Norwich keeping close tabs on the 18-year old centre half.
Son of former Tottenham player Brain Statham, Maxwell’s contract at the club ends in the summer and Spurs are yet to give the 18-year old his first professional contract at the club.
Statham has made 5 appearances for the club in the under-18 Premier League this season and has been impressive.
His performances have caught the eye of Mauricio Pochettino, so much so that the youngster was promoted to train with the first team this week.
Norwich, who are on top of the Championship, are hopeful of promotion back to the Premier League next season and are keen on signing Statham in the summer.
The report also reveals that fellow Championship clubs Sunderland, Brentford and Nottingham Forest are keeping a close eye on the youngster’s development and could join the race for his signature at the end of the season.
