Tottenham ‘enter talks’ over deal to sign 22-year-old, at least £30m the cost

Tottenham ‘have entered talks’ over the deal to sign Jack Grealish from Aston Villa this summer, based on a report by Sky Sports.

Spurs have been the clear favourites to swoop for Grealish all summer, but talks with Villa slowed down as club chairman Daniel Levy attempted to decrease the asking price.

The Championship side are expected to sell the midfielder due to their current financial issues, and Levy was hoping that delaying the transfer would force Villa to lower their price.

Based on Sky Sports’ report, Spurs are making progress in talks with Villa to sign Grealish.

The young Englishman would be expected to slot into the squad right away if he was to complete a move to North London.

Villa are claimed to be asking for a fee of at least £30million to sell the attacking midfielder who featured in the Championship play-off final which his side lost 1-0 against Fulham.
